You may remember Sharon and Kim from their pre-wedding session in London this spring. Finally it came time for their civil partnership at Kimberley Hall near Wymondham in Norfolk.
Details, starting with Sharon’s gentle bouquet of summer flowers:

And of course, the shoes:

It was raining hard all day but by the end of the day I managed to get some views of Kimberley Hall for Kim and Sharon to remember. The Hall is still in occupation and only half a dozen weddings are booked there annually.

As it was still raining we went upstairs for a private photosession:

In the marquee - good idea to remember the people who were no longer with us:

During her speech Kim presented an Oscar to Sharon for the best dressed bride in a dress:

The cake was made of tiny little fairy cakes and the cake top was made by Sharon and Kim’s friend (I think):

By 6.30pm it became drier and we managed to get outside!

Boys were happy too:

First dance was fast-moving and involved all the guests, not only Sharon and Kim:

Finished playing with Emma and Keith’s album design. The layouts are for a magazine-style 12″x12″ album. Emma’s bridesmaids had dark brown dresses, and the boys wore blue shirts with brown and blue polkadot ties so brown and blue became accent colours in this design. As Blakeney is a tourist spot and we photographed near the quayside there I made the title page look a bit like a postcard sent from a resort, with a postmark stamp in blue and the bride and groom’s names in antiqued brown font.

I am still fiddling with Emma and Keith’s album design but Carey and Nick’s draft is out for approval. These are some of the layouts for their 8″x12″ magazine-style album. The wedding venue was already rich with colours and textures so I tried to keep design elements to minimum.

Elaine and Andrea booked me to photograph their civil partnership ceremony in Newcastle upon Tyne this September. We met at the Monument one Sunday afternoon for their urban pre-wedding shoot.
The streets were nearly empty as the shops were closed so John only suffered a mild discomfort when he ended up carrying two girl’s bags around the city centre.
Here are some images from this pre-wedding session.

Many thanks to our clients and other photographers who congratulated me on my work published in the Style supplement of the Sunday Times a couple of weeks ago. I missed the issue of You and Your wedding magazine featuring my photos last time so it was great to have been reminded to buy the paper for my mum.

I received this note by email from Jon and Tara:
“Hi Galina
We’d just like to thank you for our lovely wedding album. It is so beautifully designed - sums up a fantastic day perfectly!
Thank you for everything.
Lots of love
Tara and Jon xx”
Don’t mention it - I loved working with you.

Carey and Nick got married at South Farm on the border of Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire on Easter Monday. It was snowing in the morning and we were worried about the weather. Luckily it was sunny in the afternoon - still it was quite cold.
I love this quirky litlle venue that Carey and Nick chose for their wedding, its old farmhouse, the rusting steam engine, animal enclosure and peacocks.

For shoe funs - sorry I didn’t photograph them this time as the coverage started with Nick getting ready:

John and I were away for three days over Easter photographing Carey and Nick’s wedding in Cambridgeshire. When we returned we received this lovely email from Jessica and Chris:
“Dear Galina
We just received the album today and it was even more beautiful than I had hoped. I know that for the rest of my married life I’m going to enjoy turning the glossy pages and someday reminding my children not to put dirty fingers on them. It is a truly wonderful thing to have and I cannot wait to show everyone. Thank you again for all your hard work and creativity. We knew from the first moment that you were the right person for the job and seeing our album today was the best kind of proof that we were right.
All our love to you and John,
Jess”
I am so happy for you and glad that I’ve done a good job!

I finished working on this draft for Becky and Anthony’s 12×12 magazine-style album 2 weeks ago but got caught up in work to post it in the diary. Catching up now.
The colour scheme (brown with orange accents) and some the design elements were inspired by the couple’s order of service and their seating plan.
Here are some layouts from this album:
