Emma and Jon got married in Weston Park, Weston Longville, Norfolk. It was such a happy wedding, with lots of jokes and laughter shared! The weather was brilliant too - I have never seen bluer sky!

I loved Emma’s shoes:

It had these amazing jewel-encrusted details:

We went for a brief photo session after dinner:

We had a pre-wedding shoot with Amanda and Les at the Norwich Cathedral on 28 May, only three days before the cut-off date. I am glad we had this chance to play before their wedding in July at Caister Hall!

We started on a small daisy lawn at the back of the cathedral:

Then walked to the atrium. This is in the side doorway just outside the atrium:

We finished in the Cathedral courtyard:

Fee and Ed got married in St Margaret’s Church in Starston and then had a fun reception in Hales Barn, Loddon.

The day started witha downpour that didn’t dampen the spirits.

And the bride wore a silver dress!

and the food (these pigs might have been friendly in the previous life):

Guys’ idea of a confetti:

Well, it is certainly very efficient and cuts to the point!

It brightened a bit in the afternoon and Fee and Ed, and John and I sneaked out for some photos:

Kids had the same idea and poured out of the barn to enjoy the sunshine:

Back to the barn:

All in all, a thoroughly relaxed and enjoyable wedding!

Helen and Paul got hitched on South Farm, a working farm in Cambridgeshire and a wedding venue known for its “friendly pigs” (a quote from their website!).

Guests arriving:

The cake was decorated by simple sunflowers and fitted with the farm theme very well.

I thought that the bride’s bouquet and the rings would photograph well on the doormat of the barn:

As usual I had some competition:

Helen and Paul originally planned to have a picnic  and games for their guests but it was raining so everyone ended up in the barn. In the afternoon the sun came out and the weather turned out very nice in the end.

We went for a brief walk with Helen and Paul:

Back to the barn for an evening entertainment:

Catherine works at the UEA so she and Jon chose to have a pre-wedding shoot there. The Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts with its glass and white tubular structures seemed appropriate, especially when it was threatening to rain and there was a ready-made cover from the elements.

As per weather forecast, the session was interrupted by heavy rain, but we got some good stuff before it started chucking down!

The background is of course the floor!

When John and I drove to this pre-wedding shoot, it was raining so hard that I thought that we were on a fool’s errand - no way this session would even take place!

It was still wet and drizzly as we were parking by the house. Lisa and Jason offered us some tea and we chatted about their plans for their big day for about 40 min. Suddenly it stopped raining and we braved the Felixstowe beach with its rows of picturesque multi-coloured huts.

Lisa and Jason took to this business of “posing” like ducks to the water. I hardly needed to prompt them!

I tried to convey how dark and stormy the weather progressively became. Here’s what we came up with:
