Sarah and Rob got married at Knights Hill Hotel in Kings Lynn, Norfolk. It was sunny at times, and raining at others - crazy weather!

Sarah’s preparations, starting (of course) with the shoes:

I alway love when I am booked to cover the first dance and the party!

Sarah and Rob’s first dance to a live band performing 50s-60s-70s music:

The members of the band were also their friends:

The dancing pary started with a spectacular balloon release and multi-coloured light effects:

It was absolutely great!

If you see some pages flickering while you are browsing please don’t be alarmed - it’s me tinkering with the code and images of my website behind the scenes.

Home page and studio diary are to be changed first. I am also planning to update wedding portfolio images at some point this week.

Update: 28 July 9.15pm - upgrading my blog software to the newest version.

I finally got some spare time to process images from Jerry Ghionis’ 5-day workshop that was held in London last month. Jerry is a world-famous wedding and fashion master photographer from Australia.

These are from Day Two training. The first three photos were made with video light shining through French blinds and behind the models to produce a rim-lit effect:

The next set was produced outside. Jerry was showing how to produce dramatic location portraits in harsh afternoon light on the streets of London.

I photographed a model portfolio session with Natasha in Newcastle upon Tyne to practice since the course. You’ll see a post about it shortly.

Sharon and Kim’s album draft is out for approval. Hare are some layouts for their 12″x12″ magazine-style album. The styling of the title page was inspired by the antique elements of Kimberley Hall built in the 18th century.

Charlotte and Oliver got married at Newstead Priory in a small village of Brigg in Lincolnshire. It’s a lovely place and the staff was very-very helpful, considering that it was raining all day and we had to use the indoor locations to the maximum.

As usual let’s start with the details:

You may remember Sharon and Kim from their pre-wedding session in London this spring. Finally it came time for their civil partnership at Kimberley Hall near Wymondham in Norfolk.

Details, starting with Sharon’s gentle bouquet of summer flowers:

And of course, the shoes:

It was raining hard all day but by the end of the day I managed to get some views of Kimberley Hall for Kim and Sharon to remember. The Hall is still in occupation and only half a dozen weddings are booked there annually.

As it was still raining we went upstairs for a private photosession:

In the marquee - good idea to remember the people who were no longer with us:

During her speech Kim presented an Oscar to Sharon for the best dressed bride in a dress:

The cake was made of tiny little fairy cakes and the cake top was made by Sharon and Kim’s friend (I think):

By 6.30pm it became drier and we managed to get outside!

Boys were happy too:

First dance was fast-moving and involved all the guests, not only Sharon and Kim:
