Kristin and Paul booked me from Singapore to photograph their wedding at Horton Grange in Ponteland. They came over for Easter and we met for an overcast afternoon pre-wedding shoot on the streets of Newcastle upon Tyne.

As you can see their baby daughter Lauren (extremely well behaved on this occasion) was there too:

By the end of the session Lauren fell asleep in her pushchair and I photographed Kristin and Paul in the 55 Degrees North courtyard. The shapes and colours there were fun, as was this couple to work with.

I fell in love with Victorian patterns and vintage paper! Layered together they are perfect to enhance the presentation of your pre-wedding and wedding photographs lending them an old-time sophisticated charm.

Introducing a new product - vintage 10″x8″ prints - that is now added to your online gallery shopping cart. You can now find this item as a purchasing option there.

Backgrounds colours can be changed to compliment your chosen image/decor. A web copy of each design is emailed for your approval before the file is sent to the lab.

Below are several vintage 10″x8″ layouts to show how background colours are customised to work with some pre-wedding shoot photos.

It’s Good Friday in Russia and other Orthordox countries, like Greece and Bulgaria, today. As our Easter is approaching I am happy to announce a high resolution files sale. I know many of you will be interested in this offer - it will allow you to have access to your wedding images permanently, even if we lose touch over the years, and print as many hard copies as you like.

Save £100 on your wedding high-resolution files and £50 on your pre-wedding session high resolution images!

The sale starts today, on 17 April 2009, and will end on 17 May 2009. It’s applicable to the weddings and pre-wedding sessions I photographed in 2006, 2007 and 2008 only.

Seahouses - Easter walk

April 13, 2009

Over Easter John and I drove to Seahouses, a picturesque little village on the Northumberland cost. It’s about an hour away from Newcastle and is known for its attractive harbour where you can take a boat cruise to Holy Island, observe fishermen at work, walk on a pier and grab a portion of fish and chips.

After visiting the pier we enjoyed a grassy coastal walk.

Happy Easter!

April 13, 2009

Hi guys

Happy Easter to everyone from us! Hope you had a restful few days. John, who returned from a conference in France on Friday, and I went for a walk to Seahouses in Northumberland. I am processing the photos and will post some images from this walk soon.

New mini books

April 4, 2009

Another new product that Galina Walls Photography launches in 2009 to compliment the range of magazine-style albums are mini books. They are press-printed albums supplied in packs of 10, perfect as keepsakes for bridesmaids, ushers and special family friends.

You must have an album included in your coverage to be able to order them because they use a scaled down layout of the main wedding album. Mini replicas of a 8″x12″ magazine-style album are sized approximately 3.75″x5.25″. Minis of a 12″x12″ magazine-style (or matted!) album are approximately 4.25″x4.25″.

If you are interested in these products or in saving if you order a set please get in touch.

I have prepared some further updates for our 2009 products and services line-up. New magazine-style parent albums are now available.

Accessible to clients who have a 12″x12″ wedding album included in their coverage these albums are exact but smaller 6″x6″ replicas of the larger main album. Layouts are printed on photographic paper and flush-mounted onto card pages. 6″x6″ books share the same cover construction and photo jacket as their 12″x12″ counterpart.

New proofbooks

April 3, 2009

Before the wedding season kicks in with a vengeance I am quietly working on updating our products and services.

If you remember I had to give up proofbooks a while ago because the hardback version available from my suppliers only allowed to include approximately 320 images, 12 thumbnails on a page. As I routinely provide my clients with more images than that the whole thing didn’t work for me.

Now it’s good news - new soft backed press-printed preview books were launched recently! They are approximately 8″x10″ in size. The satin-coated pages are printed on both sides and the books hold up to 700 images, 6 thumbnails on each page. Also the new proofbooks come with 300gsm gorgeous gloss laminate covers.

I created a vintage-inspired design for the cover featuring a chocolate damask pattern with a gold antique frame mould. Here are some images of a new studio sample of this proofbook:
